There are a lot of moving parts in the world right now
It almost seems that we are all stuck in a maze these days. With the confusion they
create, and surprise dead ends we encounter just when we think we have found the
way forward. A maze challenges us! It can teach us to trust our own instincts, build our
concentration, and keep our nervous system regulated as we negotiate the unexpected
feelings that rise when we feel lost, or trapped by uncertainty.
Many of us may be more accustomed to walking the single path of a labyrinth--to the
center of rebirth and back out again. Labyrinths encourage meditative states and
connect us to our spiritual self. They join us to the wisdom of our Ancestors as we enter
the belly of the mother and ask to be reborn. A labyrinth is a timeless contemplative
walk of renewal.
But walking a maze encourages us to try one way, and then when not successful to try
another way. A maze teaches us about our own abilities in perseverance, determination,
and focus. It teaches us to trust ourselves. And if we are willing, walking a maze can
even offer us an opportunity to see challenge as a game and an opportunity for growth.
It can build our resilience as we learn to see that trying something new, changing our
direction can actually lead to freedom.
There are a lot of moving parts in the world right now, a lot of confusion, loss and
uncertainty. I believe it is time for us to try a new direction, one that holds the potential
of liberation for all. But to take this new direction means we cannot rely on those long-
held societal and familial beliefs based in an oppressive system--we need to shed them.
The question is: What are you willing to let go of (thinking habits, purchasing habits,
scrolling habits, habits of isolation, habits of ‘othering,’ etc.) that leave you feeling
trapped and unable to find your way out?
The Regeneration Process Method [RPM] is a framework designed to help you let go of
what keeps you stuck in the maze. It encourages you to find a new direction—one
based on trusting your inherent goodness, your power to take aligned action, and your
commitment to our shared world.
Let’s challenge ourselves and grow together!
